A butterfly with a story! This Troides birdwing was collected by a paratrooper in WWII in 1944 serving in New Guinea. Includes original note card typed by the paratrooper.
Truly one of a kind.
Note: Being sent through army mail is apparently quite tough on a butterfly and this is in A2 condition with evidence of repairs.
