Troides rhadamantus, real birdwing butterfly! These were all legally imported into the US from the Philippines in the 90s and early 2000s. Birdwings are the most sought after and difficult to obtain butterfly species. Wingspan measures approx. 4”, but can vary from specimen to specimen. These are all males, which feature brighter gold/yellow colors.
NOTE: Because these specimens are over 20 years old they are being sold AS IS. Visibly they appear fine, but antennae and wing damage is possible.
DON'T RISK BUYING FROM INTERNATIONAL SELLERS! It is illegal! These are highly protected and monitored butterflies and MUST clear a US Fish and Wildlife Inspection and have the proper permits to enter the US. These are from an older N. American collection, and have 100% been legally imported and can be bought and owned completely legally by anyone in the US.
