Incredible, riker framed O. p. urvillianus gynandromorph birdwing butterfly showing both male and female coloration and wings. Gynandromorphs are EXTREMELY rare, naturally occurring mutations. The label is undated, but is hand-written and uses 'Troides urvilliania' a very early classification of this species used in late 1800's into the early 1900's (possibly until 1910-1920)
DO NOT RISK buying from international sellers! These are highly protected species and can only cross international boundaries with US Fish and Wildlife inspections and CITES paperwork! A copy of the CITES papers can be provided if requested, but are not needed for sales within the USA.
This is from an older American collection, please see photos for condition. Riker mounts do not have wall hangers.
