A vintage piece of raw petrified wood from a Eden Valley, Wyoming, likely collected in the 1950's. One end of the wood has been polished smooth.
Measures approx 7" x 1.5", weighs 520 grams.
Petrified wood is a fossilized form of wood where the organic material has been replaced by minerals, primarily silica, resulting in a stone-like structure.
One of a kind, pictured specimen will be the one sent. There is some tape residue on the wood where the collection data was adhered.
