Ornithoptera priamus poseidon is a member of the highly sought after birdwings-one of the most collected groups of butterflies in the world. These are the males, with brilliant green on both dorsal and verso sides. Wingspan measures approx. 5-6" These males are huge and beautiful!

These are highly protected and monitored butterflies and MUST clear a US Fish and Wildlife Inspection and have the proper permits to enter the US. These are from an older N. American collection, and have 100% been legally imported from IFTA in Papua New Guinea, and can be bought and owned completely legally by anyone in the US.

WINGS SPREAD OPEN: Wings open and stapled to cardstock.
FRAMED/MOUNTED OPTION: Wings open, professionally spread and mounted in a 8 ¼ x 6 ¼ glass front riker mount frame. This framing style is typically used in museum collections, and allows for the specimen to be easily displayed or even removed for placement in a different frame/shadowbox.
