An incredible piece of history! 91 Butterflies, including swallowtails, heliconius, moths, and others from around the world. This piece is undated, but was purchased directly from the museum curator who was responsible for its curation until the museum closed. It is believed to be from 1904 and location data from Europe supports this, with many of the cities/countries listed only existing prior to the World Wars. Butterflies appear to be in fantastic shape- especially considering their age.
